About The Team
Shepherd Homes is led by founder Martin Roundfield, whose passion for heritage renovations, quality craftsmanship and sustainable building practices shapes every project we undertake. With a deep respect for older homes and the stories they hold, Martin has built the company around thoughtful construction, careful restoration and long-term performance — not quick cosmetic upgrades.
Supporting each homeowner and project is Lena, our Lead Project Manager, who brings a wealth of experience in complex project management and heritage renovations. Lena oversees the coordination of consultants, trades and timelines with precision and clarity, ensuring that even intricate restoration and extension projects are delivered smoothly. Her ability to manage detail without losing sight of the bigger picture is instrumental in maintaining both quality outcomes and a positive client experience.
At the heart of Shepherd Homes is our in-house carpentry team. They are a dedicated group of skilled tradespeople and apprentices who take pride in their work and the homes they help transform. Maintaining an internal team allows us to uphold consistently high standards of workmanship and care across every stage of construction.
Our carpenters receive extensive training in both modern and traditional construction techniques, ensuring they can sensitively restore heritage features while confidently integrating best-practice upgrades. They are also trained in building science and high-performance construction principles, allowing us to improve all aspects of your home.
